Harrogate’s newest restaurant to serve up a twice weekly helping of live music
Harrogate’s newest restaurant – opened on the 14th July by fashion photographer David Dresser – is adding two generous portions of live music to its menu on Sundays. Starting Sunday August 16th and every following Sunday, from 5pm til 7pm. The Fashion House Bistro will be playing host to a duet performing well-known, easy listening songs by the likes of George Gershwin and Rodgers and Hart. The pair, Chris White (vocals) and Martin Long (piano) are already well-known on Harrogate’s live music scene, having previously been two thirds a trio playing at Harrogate Brasserie for the last 13 years.
There will be variety of artists with different styles performing acoustic sets. Proprietor David Dresser said: “I’m a huge fan of live music, and since the middle of March coronavirus has denied us the opportunity of enjoying live music indoors. “I’m delighted to announce that from this coming weekend, the Fashion House Bistro will be introducing two weekly helpings of live music on Sundays and Thursdays.
By popular demand we will be running our normal menu on Sundays. The duet, playing from 5pm to 7pm, will be a great way to finish off the weekend. They describe their style as ‘creating a nice mood’, and will be far from intrusive.
David added: “Being the new ‘kids on the block’ there has certainly been a lot of interest with people coming to check us out. The response has been great and having a garden for drinking and dining has certainly been a real bonus, and one our customers have taken advantage of. “We’ve already got a number of regulars and the offering of live music will see that increasing week on week.”
